Computer science Engineering:

About the Computer Science & Engineering Department:

Computer Science Department was founded in the Year 2001 with an intake of 120 students and currently headed by Dr. B.G. Prasad, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at BNMIT is renowned for imparting state of the art education and also carrying out cutting edge research. The Main objective of the Department is to provide academic excellence, knowledge and nurture talent in the area of Computer Science. It has attracted some of the brightest students and faculty into its portals. Some of the Faculty members have graduated from prestigious Institutions like IIT, NIT, etc.

Faculty is actively involved in the Campus Connect Program of Infosys and Mission 10X of Wipro. They are reviewers of reputed National and International Journals and have chaired National and International conferences. The Department also regularly organizes guest & invited lectures and conferences.

In addition to a strong UG program, the Department also offers 2 PG programs and has provided R&D facilities under VTU for Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) courses. The Department also undertakes research projects sponsored by the government agencies like VTU- VGST, AICTE, etc.
