AIT Engineering Eligibility 2013

Pass in 10+2 / Higher Secondary (HS) / Pre University (PUC) / 'A' Level (with 12 years of schooling) or its equivalent with English as one of the languages. Shall have secured a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following : Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Science. Acharya Institute of Technology admits students as per prevailing rules and regulations of VTU.

Acharya Institute of Technology admits 50 percent students on the basis of their rank in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Government of Karnataka and 30 percent students through the Undergraduate Entrance Test of the COMEDK. It also admits 20 percent students under a management quota without merit requirements and has admitted about 150 foreigners from 25 countries under "PIO Quota".

There is a lateral entry scheme in place, by which students holding diploma degrees can enter directly into the second year of study in engineering. After completing their graduation, students receive a BE degree from the VTU.

Students are admitted to postgraduate courses on the basis of their test scores in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), as well as on their Karnataka Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) and KMAT scores.

Acharya Institute of Technology, or AIT, is a private co-educational engineering and management college in Bangalore, India, affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). BMSIT Engineering Eligibility 2013

  1. The candidate shall have passed the second year Pre University or XII standard or equivalent examinations held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects:- Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, Electronics and has secured not less than forty five (45%) percent of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the language for admission to Engineering & Technology courses.
  2. Provided further that the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be forty percent (40%) of aggregate in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to the SC, ST and OBC specified in the relevant Government order for the purpose of reservation in respect of Engineering and Technology courses.
    Note: The relaxation in academic eligibility is extended only to Karnataka candidates belonging to the SC, ST and OBC.

  1. A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination (equivalent to the two year Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at MSRIT. 
  2. The eligibility for admission is 40% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. 
  3. This provided that the marks obtained by the candidate in biotechnology/ computer science/ biology/ electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of chemistry. 
  4. In case the marks obtained in chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/ technology courses).
Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)
  1. A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination (equivalent to the two year Pre University in Karnataka) with Mathematics as one of the optional subjects and secured a minimum 50% marks in aggregate in all subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible for admission to the Bachelors of Architecture program. 
  2. The eligibility for admission is 45% of marks in the case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. 
  3. This provided that the candidate should also appear and secure a minimum of 40% marks in NATA (including SC/ ST, Category-1, and OBC Category candidates) conducted by the Council of Architecture.
Post Graduate
Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
  1. MS Ramaiah offer a 2-year MBA program, open to candidates who have a 3-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with not less than 50% of the marks in aggregate of all the years of the degree examination. 
  2. In case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category-1, the aggregate percent of the marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall not be less than 40%.
Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
  1. This is a 3-year program, open to candidates who have passed a 3 year bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with not less than 50% of the marks in aggregate of all the years of the degree examination with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer Programming/ Computer Applications/ Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects/ electives at degree level. 
  2. This provided that the candidate who has studied and passed one of the subjects specified in the first proviso in the Pre University Course with 50% of marks in that subject will also be considered for admission. In case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category-1, 45% of the marks in that subject will be considered for admission.
Master of Technology (M.Tech)
MSRIT offers the following 2-year M.Tech programs for which candidates with a B.E/ B.Tech. degree in the relevant discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate are eligible.

MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) is an autonomous private engineering college located in Bengaluru, Karnataka and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University head quartered at Belgaum, Karnataka, India. Dayananda Sagar Engg. Eligibility 2013

  1. Admissions for the first year of the course shall be open to students who have passed the two-year Pre-University Examination (Science) conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board.
    OR
  2. 10+2 of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Information Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained at least 45% marks in the optional subjects is eligible for Engineering & Technology courses. Chemistry & Mathematics as optional subjects and English as a subject of study.
    OR
  3. Those who have passed any other examinations recognised by the University as equivalent thereon.Candidates should have secured a minimum of 45% of marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics of second year Pre-University Examination or at the end of 12 years of education.
  4. B.Sc. graduates are also considered eligible for admission to First Year B.E. course if they have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of subjects:
    1. Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or
    2. Physics, Mathematics & Electronics or
    3. Physics, Mathematics & Computer Science
Lateral Entry
The three year Diploma Holders in appropriate branch of Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka or any other Diploma qualification considered equivalent thereto by the University, who have secured not less than 50% of the total maximum marks in the final year are eligible for admission to the First year of B.E. course in appropriate branch. However, there shall not be any exemption of any subject at the B.E. degree course.

Eligibility Certificate
Candidates other than those, who have passed the examination of Pre-University Examination Board, Engineering Diploma Examinations of the Board of Technical Education, Karnataka & B.Sc. degree examination from any University of Karnataka State, have to obtain Eligibility Certificate for seeking admission to B.E. degree course from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) of Karnataka State. The University will notify dates for the issue of Eligibility Certificates from time to time.

BMS College of Engineering is an autonomous engineering college in Bangalore, India. The engineering college, started in 1946 by BM Sreenivasiah, was one of the first private sector initiatives in technical education in India and is run by the BMS Educational Trust today. It is located on the Basavangudi Area Bull Temple Road, opposite to the famous Bull Temple. Though a private engineering college, it is partially funded by the Government of Karnataka.

BMSCE has the largest student population among the engineering colleges in Karnataka, drawing students from other states of India and abroad. One of the oldest engineering colleges in Karnataka, it celebrated its "Diamond Jubilee" in 2006. It is also known for the annual inter-collegiate Techno-Cultural festival UTSAV, one of the prominent student-managed festivals in the country.BMSCE has also been the university champions under VTU for the most number of times by any college under the University . PES Engineering Eligibility 2013

PESIT admits students to undergraduate courses based on their Karnataka CET or their COMED-K UGET test ranks. The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with PCM with 50% marks.  PESIT also admits students under Management quota,which does not place any merit requirements.There is a lateral entry scheme in place, by which students holding diploma degrees can directly enter the second year of study in engineering. On graduating students receive a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

Students are admitted to postgraduate courses based on their GATE test scores as well as on their Post Graduate Karnataka CET scores. Upon graduating, they receive a Master of Technology degree.

It was established in 1988 and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. It was granted academic autonomy in August 2007.
