auto mobiles, office machinery and house-hold appliances, life saving medical
equipments and space vehicles represent a mere sample in the wide spectrum of
application of Electronics.
Electronic engineering is an engineering discipline where
non-linear and active electrical components such as electron tubes, and
semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits,
are utilized to design electronic circuits, devices and systems, typically also
including passive electrical components and based on printed circuit boards.
Job Prospects of an Electronics and communication Engineer:
Electronics and communication Engineer may work in nearly
every industry such as commercial, industrial, military or scientific
companies. Job opportunities are available in both software and electronics
companies. One may also enter into research and development.
Electrical and electronics engineers are involved in a wide
variety of technology ranging from huge global positioning systems which can
pinpoint the location of a moving vehicle to gigantic electrical power
generators. These engineers are responsible for designing, developing, testing
as well supervising the production of electrical and electronic equipment and
machinery. Broadcast and telecommunication systems, electric motors, controls
of machinery, lights and wiring in building complexes, vehicles, aircraft,
radar and navigation systems, power generation, control and transmission
devices which are used by electric utilities are all examples of equipment built
by these engineers.
They may also work in fields which relate to computers and
IT. However, those engineers who deal exclusively with computer hardware are
called computer hardware engineers- an engineering specialty with is discussed

The job profile of these engineers will generally involve
setting up networks and equipments, process and maintenance of electronics
gears and systems etc. Hardware firms like IBM as well as communication network
firms like Nokia Siemens also take in EC graduates in plenty. Top notch IT
firms also prefer EC graduates for software engineering jobs.

AND EMBEDDED SYSTEMS during 1986, 1996 and 2014 respectively. Marching towards
the progress it has been recognized as a research center by VTU during 2008.
Since 2011 it is also recognized as a research center for PhD program under
Quality improvement Program by AICTE.
