Electronic communications engineering:
Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) is all
about working with electronic devices and communication equipment, such as
transmitters and receivers, integrated circuits, microprocessors, satellite
communication, wave progression, microwave engineering and much more.
Electronic communications engineering is the utilization of
science and math applied to practical problems in the field of communications.
Electronic communications engineers engage in research, design, development and
testing of the electronic equipment used in various communications systems. It
is due to electrical engineers that we enjoy such modern communication devices
as cellular telephones, radios and television.
Electronic communications engineering gives you the
specialist skills and knowledge necessary to begin an exciting and rewarding
career in the communications industry. You will learn fundamental electronic
engineering along with specialist communications topics such as optical and
radio-frequency engineering, digital signal processing, network
protocols/technologies and the design and optimisation of networks.
Electronics communications engineer job Prospects:
Electronics engineers use scientific knowledge of the behavior
and effects of electrons to design, develop and test components, devices,
systems or equipment that use electricity as part of their source of power.
These components include capacitors, diodes, resistors and transistors.
Electronics engineers usually work in cross-functional
project teams with colleagues in other branches of engineering.
Work can be found in a variety of areas as electronics are
used in many things including:
- Acoustics;
- Defense;
- Medical instruments;
- Mobile phones;
- Nanotechnology;
- Radio and satellite communication;
- Robotics.
- Control engineering;
- Instrumentation;
- Signal processing;
- Telecommunications engineering.
