Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT), Bangalore was
established in 1979 under the auspices of Vokkaligara Sangha. The college is
affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. BIT has high qualified and
experienced teachers. Bangalore Institute of Technology has always been at the
forefront of modern technology and is credited with the introduction of the
first full-fledged computer science & engineering degree in Karnataka.
Bangalore Institute of Technology offered the Bachelor of
Engineering (B.E.) Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics,
Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology,
Telecommunication, Information Science and Engineering and Industrial
Engineering and Management.
Bangalore Institute of Technology has always been at the
forefront of modern technology and is credited with the introduction of the
first full-fledged COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING degree in Karnataka.
Thus, the institute has identified future growth areas and incorporated various
courses over the years. At present B.I.T offers 9 undergraduate, 6 post
graduate and a Ph.D course(s) with a student strength of more than 4000.

the college has seen phenomenal growth in the last three and a half decades
