BMS Institute of Technology (BMSIT), Bangalore Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) Admission
The BMS Institute of Technology (abbreviated as BMSIT), is a private engineering college in Bangalore, Karnataka, India affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. It was founded by BS Narayana, son of educationist B M Sreenivasaiah, and is managed by the BMS Educational Trust. It is the sister institution of BMS College of Engineering, a well established government aided engineering college in India.
BMS Institute of Technology is recognized as a Research Centre by VTU.
BMS Institute of Technology is located on SH-9, KA, a little distance away from Bangalore, in an open and sparsely populated and built area, known as Avalahalli. Initially, starting out with five disciplines of engineering, viz., Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,information science, the college offers a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Science, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree, in addition to Bachelor of Engineering degrees in the five aforementioned disciplines.
The college was granted the status of a Research Institution by the Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2005.
The department of placement and training is recognized for its ability to plan and implement value added programmes such as the personality training, Technical training, Bridge courses in the areas of interest and requirements by the industry. This adds to the credentials of the students and enhances the quality of the future engineering professionals from our college. Placement cell is engaged in training students from first semester itself.
The Placement cell at BMSIT works closely with the placement office at BMSCE to provide wide career opportunities through various reputed companies for campus recruitment. The college now boasts of having produced over 2,400 engineers scattered all across the globe.
The Candidate can obtain Application Form form the BMS Trust Office Bull Temple Road, Bangalore or can be downloaded from the official website of BMS Institute of Technology, Bangalore (www.bmsit.in).
The Candidate should submit the duly filled Application Forms alongwith the DD of Rs. 1000/- (Non Refundable) in favour of BMS Educational Trust to the BMS Educational Trust Office.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate shall have passed the second year Pre University or XII standard or equivalent examinations held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects , along with one of the following subjects:- Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, Electronics and has secured not less than forty five (45%) percent of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the language for admission to Engineering & Technology courses.
Provided further that the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be forty percent (40%) of aggregate in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to the **Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes specified in the relevant Government order for the purpose of reservation in respect of Engineering and Technology courses. Please Note: ** the relaxation in academic eligibility is extended only to Karnataka candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes.

- Copy of P U C (10+2) Marks Card.
- Copy of Transfer Certificate.
- Copy of Physical fitness Certificate issued by an MBBS Doctor.
