JEE Main 2014 Participating Institutes

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering courses like B.Tech, B.E, B.Arch and B.Planning under the direction of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

In 2012, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has announced this common examination in place of AIEEE and IIT-JEE. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is being conducted into two parts, JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. JEE-Main exam is to admission in National Institutes of Technology, IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), CFTIs (Central Funded Technical Institute) and SFTIs (State Funded Technical Institutes) as well as a number of leading private universities and institutes and JEE-Advanced is for admission in Indian Institutes of Technology and the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi had all set to conduct Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2014 in April. The pen and paper based examination (offline mode) is conducted on 06th April 2014 and the computer based examination (online mode) held on the 09th, 11th, 12th and 19th April 2014. JEE Main 2014 is the qualifying entrance examination for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and SFTIs across the country. More than 10 lakh candidates had written the JEE Main 2014 entrance examination.
