People's Education Society Institute of Technology (also known as PESIT or P.E.S. Institute of Technology) is a private co-educational engineering college located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It was established in 1988 and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. It was granted academic autonomy in August 2007.
P.E.S.Institute of Technology (PESIT), Bangalore was founded by People Education Society (PES). The main vision is to provide students with a sense of history, an understanding of values and ethics, a commitment to law and morality, an appreciation of human creativity and an analytical inquiring mind. PESIT carries forward the principles and spirit of its founder chairman prof. M. R. Doreswamy innovation, entrepreneurship, outreach and perennial love for quality education.
PES was founded with just over 40 students in a rented gymnasium at Bangalore. Today, they have more than 8000 students spread across three different campuses in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. At PES, they will always be focused on delivering education that will help create the leaders of tomorrow’s world - men and women who will not just be successful in their individual capacities but who will in turn, contribute to and nurture the world they live in.
