BMS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
BMS Institute of Technology, a new institution started by BMS Educational Trust in the Year 2002 situated at Doddaballapura Main Road, 5 Km from Yelahanka, 19 Km from Vidhanasoudha and 12 Km from International Airport. Keeping pace with BMS Educational Trust continued efforts to the advancement of knowledge, training of specialist man power and service to the community. In general the Managing Body is started making this new institution a premier institute of technology and management in the noble tradition of dedicated services which are characterized the activities of the BMS Education Trust since its inception.
The history of BMSIT and its allied institutions dates back to year 1946. Late Sri. B.M.Srinivasaish a philanthropist, and visionary, realized the importance of technical education in the country. He started BMS college of Engineering in the year 1946, which has the distinction of being the first private engineering college in the country.Sri B.M.Srinivasaiah was honoured by the Maharaja of Mysore by conferring on him titles ‘Dharma Prakasha’ and ‘Raja Karya Prasaktha’. His ideals continued to guide the inheritors of his legacy. Today, BMS Educational Trust is managing five institutions. BMS Institute of Technology is the latest addition to chain of BMS institutions.
