R.V. College of
Engineering (RVCE), Bangalore was started in 1963. It is associated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.
The college started with three engineering
branches namely civil, mechanical and electrical, today RVCE offers 12 under
graduate engineering programs, 16 master degree programs and doctoral studies.
The College provides an ideal ambience to stimulate the teaching-learning
process, helping in bringing out skilled and disciplined Engineers.
The undergraduate courses are granted academic autonomy by
the university. RVCE is certified by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), all its departments are certified by the National Board of
Accreditation (NBA), and its school of Architecture is certified by the Council
of Architecture (COA).
The college utilizes its expertise in various disciplines to
conduct research and development for industry and defense establishments in the
country.
The Institute was founded, and is managed by the Rashtreeya
Sikshana Samiti Trust in Bangalore. It has been familiar as a centre of
excellence by the Union Government of India and is considered as the most
preferred college in Bangalore to study engineering.
Eligibility:
- Must have passed 10+2 with PCM from a Recognized board with a valid rank in KCET and COMEDK.
- (10+2) or Equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology, Language and any other subject. He/She should have scored a minimum of 45% marks. All reserved category students have a 5% relaxation in minimum aggregate.
Admission Procedure-
On the basis of merit in the Karnataka CET or COMEDK
followed by counseling
