Christ University, formerly Christ College (Autonomous) was
set up in July 1969. The college is belongs to Bangalore University.
The institute became the most preferred educational
institution in the city of Bangalore within the first three decades. From 1990
onwards it has scaled greater heights. Due to the introduction of innovative
and modern curricula, insistence on academic discipline, imparting of Holistic
Education, a team of creative and dedicated staff.

M.Tech in Communication Engineering:
Christ University Faculty of Engineering offers M.Tech in
Communication Systems. Course duration is two years.
Program focuses on equipment, devices and technologies that
communicate voice, data and multimedia information.
Student would be completing this program in four semesters,
where in the last semester may be spent either of the two available
alternatives, namely, Dissertation and Industry problem.
This program is intended to give a penetrating professional
experience in once own discipline or in many other traditional areas of
Engineering.
This course will cover fundamentals of digital
communications and networking. The students will study the basics of
information theory, sampling and quantization, coding, modulation, signal
detection and system performance in the presence of noise. The study of data networking
will include multiple access, reliable packet transmission, routing and
protocols of the internet.
Salient Features:
- The focus of the M.Tech. Degree program in Communication Systems is on a thorough and in-depth study of Communication theory from a signal processing perspective
- Advanced Digital Signal Processing, Coherent Optical Communication, High speed Communication Networks and Error-Control Coding.
- A broad theoretical base is also provided through subjects like Linear Operators and Integral Equations, Probability and Stochastic processes and Signal Detection and Estimation.
- The students also undergo laboratory programs on the design and implementation of communication subsystems based on DSP modules and fibre-optic devices and components besides devoting their final semester entirely to the project work.
