KNS Institute of Technology (KNSIT), Bangalore was started
in the year 2001 & formally inaugurated on 17th October 2002 by Smt. Sonia
Gandhi, Honourable President of All India Congress Committee in the presence of
distinguished personalities like Sri S.M.Krishna, former Chief Minister of
Karnataka (presently the Governor of Maharashtra), late Dr Raja Ramanna,
renowned Scientist of world repute who was the first chairman of the governing
council of KNSIT till his demise, Dr Natarajan former Chairman AICTE, New
Delhi, Dr K.
The institute was built on a sprawling 20 acre campus in
Bangalore with superior infrastructure. The vibrant campus of the institution
was designed to give more learning space to students. The departmental Blocks
are superior in architecture and construction standards.
The classrooms are designed in such a way as to facilitate
customized attention to each student. The laboratories are equipped with state
of the art infrastructure and latest instruments pertaining to the syllabus
prescribed by Visvesvaraya Technological University. Separate blocks are built
for each specialized subject mainly to achieve more focus on each area of
discipline.
The institute has independent blocks for Computer Science
and Electronics which led to the establishment of State of the art Research
Institute with emphasis on Electronics and Information Technology.

Technology and to inculcate values of integrity and commitment among the
student fraternity.
