GGSIPU CET Eligibility Criteria

  1. The candidate must have passed the Class XII exam or other equivalent exam and must have secured a minimum aggregate of 55% in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. The candidate must have passed in all the subjects separately and must have passed in the subject of English separately in order to be eligible as per Eligibility Criteria of IPU CET 2013.
  2. According to the Eligibility Criteria the candidate must be in a good physical and mental health and free from any defect that could affect his/her studies.
  3. The candidate should not be older than 21 years by the month of October 2013 for as per the requirements of Eligibility Criteria of IPU CET 2013.
  4. The upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in very exceptional cases only of the merit of the candidate satisfy the Admission Officer.
  5. The candidates of the reserved category will have a relaxation of 5% marks as per the norms of Eligibility Criteria of IPU CET 2013 whether any category has reservation of seats or not.

GGSIPU CET Test Pattern

  1. The IPU CET test paper will contain 150 objective-type questions in all. Each question will be provided with four alternative answers. Out of these, only one correct or most appropriate answer should be selected and marked on the OMR answer sheet.
  2. Each question shall carry four marks.
  3. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  4. The GGSIPU Test will be of two and a half hours duration and will carry 600 marks.
  5. The medium of the tests will be English only.
  6. Candidates should bring a black ball point pen to the Examination Hall for writing/marking responses (darkening the ovals) on OMR answer sheet. Use of pencil is not allowed.
  7. No requests for re-checking, re-evaluation, reassessment or scrutiny of OMR answer sheet will be entertained.
  8. For those who are unable to appear in the test on the scheduled date for any reason, retest will not be held by the University under any circumstances. No refund of fee is permissible.

The Application Form of GGSIPU CET 2013 will be submitted ONLINE on the official website of GGSIPU CET. The GGSIPU CET 2013 Application Submission Procedure and the payment of fee will be completed ONLINE only. The fee for Application is Rs. 1000/- and for postage and handling is Rs. 100/-. COMEDK Undergraduate Entrance Test 2013

The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association, in their endeavor to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admission to the member institutions, have formed “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka”. COMEDK-2013 Eligibility 

For B.E Courses:
Candidates applying for B.E course in General Categories, should passed the 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent qualifying Examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and along with it, candidates having Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology or Electronics as optional subjects in place of Chemistry, are also eligible. English should be one of the languages of study.

Candidates of SC, ST and Karnataka OBC students the aggregate marks in PCM should not be less than 45% in the qualifying Examination.

For B. Arch Courses:
Candidates who has passed the qualifying examination (2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination) with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of SC/ST and Karnataka OBC Category candidates). Further the candidate should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture.

For MBBS / BDS Courses:
An applicant for the MBBS/BDS courses should have passed the qualifying examination, 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or any other equivalent examination of its standard. During these two years of study, candidate must have the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. Candidate should pass these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB. In addition, in the competitive entrance test, must have secured not less than 50% marks in PCB.

If you belong to the SC, ST and Karnataka OBC then for you the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination should not be less than 40% and if you score less than 40% in the COMEDK then you will not be considered to take admission in the MBBS course.

In case of the BDS examination, candidates need minimum of 50% marks both in qualifying examination (PCB) and Competitive Entrance Test COMEDK. Here must be English as one of the language of study and also have to pass in English in the qualifying examination.

The COMEDK UGET  test scores are valid only for admissions during the academic year of entrance examination. The comdek entrance test is mandatory for candidates seeking admissions for the Under-Graduate courses in Comdek  Member Institutions. Comdek UGET entrance test, publication of comdek score and comdek rank list will be followed by a centralized counseling.

COMEDK-2013 Exam Pattern

Comdek UGET entrance test is for those students who wants to seek admission in various institutes in Karnataka, who offer programmes like BE, MBBS & BDS. Comedk UGET entrance paper pattern comprises of four papers,they are given as:

Candidates can select any one of the subjects (Biology and Mathematics). There is no negative marking, each correct answer means 1 mark and will be required to mark answers on an OMR sheet.

BITSAT Entrance Examination 2013

Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani invites application for Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test (BITSAT 2013), a computer based online test.
BITSAT 2013 is conducted for admission to integrated first year degree programmes of BITS Pilani at Pilani campus, Goa campus, and Hyderabad Campus for the academic year 2013-14.

BITSAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria: 

  1. candidates should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Further the candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th examination, at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and should have adequate proficiency in English. 
  2. Only Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2013 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2012 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2013 test. 
  3. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2011 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2013. 
  4. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2013. 
  5. Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2013.

BITSAT 2013 Exam Syllabus: 

The BITSAT-2013 test will be conducted on the basis of NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class. Candidates may refer to the NCERT textbooks for the contents. A sample test demonstrating the features of BITSAT will be made available to the registered candidates at the BITS website on which he/she can practice as many times as desired.

BITSAT 2013 Entrance Exam Pattern:

BITSAT-2013 will be of total 3-hour duration (without break).
The test consists of four parts:
Part I : Physics - 40 Questions
Part II : Chemistry - 40 Questions
Part III : (a) English Proficiency - 15 Questions              
             (b) Logical Reasoning - 10 Questions
Part IV : Mathematics - 45 Questions
  1. All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with choice of four answers, only one being correct choice. Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1mark). No marks are awarded for questions not attempted. While the candidate can skip a question, the computer will not allow the candidate to choose more than one option as correct answer. There will be 150 questions in all. will not allow the candidate to choose more than one option as correct answer. 
  2. There will be 150 questions in all. There is no time limit for individual parts of the test. The candidate can go back and change any of his/her answers among the 150 questions. 
  3. If a candidate answers all the 150 questions (without skipping any question), the candidate will have an option of attempting 12 (twelve) extra questions, if there is still time left. These extra questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics only; four questions from each part. Further, once the candidate has opted for extra questions, he cannot go back for correction of any of the earlier answered 150 questions. 
  4. The questions are so designed that a good student will be able to answer 150 questions in 180 minutes. The extra questions (a maximum of 12) will give a chance to highly meritorious candidates to score higher. However, candidates should keep in mind the fact that there is negative marking for wrong answers and any attempt to answer the questions by pure guessing of the answers is not likely to have any advantage, but may result in a reduction in the total score. 
  5. All the questions and instructions of the test will be in English only. Candidates should bring a pen for the purpose of rough work, signing etc. Blank sheets for rough work will be provided, if required. Calculators and logarithmic tables are not allowed in the test centers. Candidates are not allowed to bring any other personal belongings such as mobiles.

Interested candidates should register their names for BITSAT-2013 by applying in the prescribed application form online.  Complete the application form online at http://www.bitsadmission.com and pay the prescribed fees. Also take the print out of the filled form for your future reference. If you make payment by Demand draft then  a copy of the completed application form alongwith the prescribed fees of   Rs. 1850/- (Rs. 1350/- for female candidates) should be sent to Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani –     333 031. If you are using a payment mode other than DD then the prescribed fee for BITSAT 2013 is Rs. 1750/-(Rs. 1250/- for female candidates).
  2. If a candidate chooses  Dubai as a test center the application fee for both male and female candidates will be same and will be US $ 50 (or Indian Rs. 2500/- ).  Details for payment of fees are available at the website while applying online.
  3. Deadline to apply for BITSAT-2013 online along with the fee payment is 15th February 2013. If you are using DD as the mode of payment then the DD along with a copy of application form must reach Admissions Office, BITS Pilani by 5.00 PM on 15st February 2013.
  4. Those who register for the test and reserve test dates have to download the ‘Hall ticket’, alongwith instructions, from BITS website as per the schedule given earlier. The tests will be conducted during 14th May – 1st June 2013.

VITEEE-2013 Eligibility

The applicant for admission should be a Resident / Non Resident Indian National and should have studied in Regular, Full time and formal education. Candidates should have cleared 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized school/university with Maths, Physics and Chemistry as the subjects. The students must have a aggregate of 60% marks in PCM/PCB depending on the branch of engineering he is applying for. The average of PCM/PCB is 50% for Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribe students and also candidates from Jammu and Kashmir and North eastern India.

Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1991 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2013.  The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.  Candidates should produce this certificate  in  original  as  a  proof of their  age  at the time  of counselling, failing which they will be disqualified.

How to Apply:

Issue of Application Forms - Online

Candidates can also apply online at www.vit.ac.in/ admissions through the following mode :
(i) Net banking /Credit card/Debit card
(ii) DD mode (online applicants need to pay Rs. 900/- only).
It is mandatory that the online applicants should send the  hard  copy  of the  application  form  to  the  University
addressed to the “Director-UG Admissions”, VIT University, Vellore-632014.

Instructions to fill the VITEEE-2013 Offline Application form:

Availability of offline [OMR] Forms:
The Application Forms will be issued from 10th of December, 2012..

The  Prospectus  and  the  information  brochure for  the B.Tech. programme, along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self-addressed envelope, can be obtained against cash payment  of Rs. 950/- from the various post offices as given in the VIT website: www.vit.ac.in
Candidates  can  obtain  the  application  form  in  person from the
(i) VIT University, Vellore Campus
(ii) VIT University, Chennai Campus
(iii) Chennai Administrative Office, 

New No.  6, (Old No. W-73),  Second  Street (Opposite Towers Club),  Anna Nagar, Chennai – 600 040 (Phone: 044-42016555, 65480555, Fax: 044-26222555), by handing over a Demand Draft for Rs. 950/- drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore.

Candidates can also obtain the application form through post by sending  a Demand Draft for  ` 950/-drawn in favour  of ‘VIT  University’,  payable  at  Vellore,  with  a covering letter addressed to “Director - UG Admissions”, VIT  University,  Vellore-632014,  requesting  for  the application  form  and  indicating  their  complete  postal address. On receipt of the DD, the application form with the enclosures will be sent by post. The postal charges will be borne by the Institute. Candidates should write their name, Mobile Number and address on the reverse of the DD.

Candidates  are  advised  to  purchase  the  information brochure/ application form only through means mentioned above and not from any private publishers / vendors. Fake application forms will not be processed and will be rejected.

BVP-EEE Eligibility

Candidates seeking Admission  in B.Tech Courses of Bharati Vidhyapeeth University must fulfill following Entrance Eligibility Criteria.
  1. Candidates must have passed qualifying exams ( 10+2 ) with mandatory subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Maths, along with compulsory subjects will be- Biology, Biotech, Computer.
  2. Candidates must obtained  at least 50% marks in Physics and Maths and in any one of optional subjects.
  3. A pass with at-least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with English for general candidates.
  4. For SC/ST candidates need to have at least 45% aggregate in PCM

BVP-EEE Syllabus & Pattern

The Questions are asked from class 11th and 12th Syllabus.
The Entrance Exam will have 200 Multiple Choice Questions from Maths and Physics with each subject having 100 Questions each Question Carries 1 Mark.
There is no Negative Marking.
